Soil and Human Health

Abstract:

Soil has a strong relationship with human health. There are several direct and indirect relationships such as soil as a main source of nutrients for plant nutrition/ plant sources of food, human diseases, soil pollution, policy issues, etc. This special issue welcomes research articles, reviews, and case studies that address the following key topics:

  1. Pollution and soil health
  2. Soil remediation and human health
  3. Climate change and human/soil health
  4. Soil for healthy food
  5. Management of soil and water for human health
  6. Soil nano-restoration and human health
  7. New technology for soil and human health
  8. Education and public outreach regarding soil in support of human health
